The attached press release reads: "May 25, 1971: Away for a time but now back are dishes and glassware once used in Bowie's City Hall/Mansion when that edifice was the home of Maryland governors. Ms. Wilson R. Maltby, descendant of the gubernatorial Ogle family, presented the items to the City of Bowie Heritage Weekend May 22 with her husband (middle) making the gift on her behalf. The ladies are (from left) Mrs. Shirley Baltz, Conservation and Beautification Committee; Mrs. Virginia Mayne, chairwoman of the committee, and Ann Manheimer, girl scout and guide. Members of the Bowie City Council are, at left, Martin Freeman, Mayor Leo Green and Richard Padgett and, at right, William Wildman and James Conway. |
